Type: Remote with option to shoot content at Sydney Blister Packs Processing Facility and/or work from Melbourne Office.

About Us:

Pharmacycle is the only blister pack recycling program in Australia that provides a full recycling solution from start to finish. Over the past 2 years we have built the largest network of collection points and recycled 35M blister packs.

Their make-up of materials such as plastic and aluminium makes them ineligible for kerbside recycling. Pharmacycle’s mission is to recycle every blister pack in Australia, and since its establishment in 2022, Pharmacycle has challenged the conventional approach to pharmaceutical waste management. 

Partnering with the likes of hospitals and pharmacies, there are now 400+ public drop-off points across the country. Our efforts have already diverted over 35 million blister packs from landfills, which is equivalent to 875 cubic meters of waste. 

At Pharmacycle, transparency is paramount. Once they receive the used blister packs, our state-of-the-art processing facility carefully sorts and separates the materials, achieving an impressive 100% material recovery rate. The separated aluminium and plastic are then sent to Australian manufacturers, where they are transformed into new eco-friendly products, completing the loop of the circular economy.

In an effort to encourage individuals and families to play an active role in recycling, Pharmacycle has introduced satchels and boxes made available to everyday households. By streamlining a scalable and sustainable solution for recycling pharmaceutical waste, Pharmacycle has made it easy to get everyone involved in the correct disposal of used and empty medicinal blister packs.

We are now looking for a talented Social Media Video Content Creator to help us engage and grow our audience through compelling video content across various platforms.

Role Overview:‍

Your work will drive direct sustainability outcomes and ensure we help Australians recycle better.

As our Social Media Video Content Creator, you will be one of the faces of Pharmacycle responsible for creating video content strategy that resonates with our target audience.

You'll play a key role in driving brand awareness, engagement, and conversions by creating eye-catching vertical videos for Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook and be responsible for:

  • Coming up with video series ideas
  • Creating emotional, impactful, objective-oriented content for Pharmacycle brand
  • Working with a wide range and quality of video and static imagery – from a collection of photography to short video clips – and turning them into content assets built for individual platforms and audiences
  • Collaborating with our platform and strategy teams to create and manipulate video, a plethora of photography, social copy, gifs, short clips, streaming stories, etc.
  • Honing your design, editing, and blurb-writing skills utilizing standard industry software and social platforms
  • Wrangling and rolling with your teammates to service rapid turnaround times, capture trending moments, and deliver and receive feedback, all while keeping a clear, enthusiastic, and proactive attitude towards content creation


About the perfect candidate:

  • Uses and creates on social media daily
  • Confidence in filming yourself and having your face on social media.
  • Has an ability to make relevant content across all platforms and has extraordinary skills in at least one if not all of these: design, video editing, social media copywriting
  • Videography or design education OR equivalent relevant experience; all applicants will be asked to provide recent content examples from social media accounts
  • Shows a demonstrable passion, curiosity, and experience in making creative content on social media platforms – Tweets, TikTok videos, Instagram visuals, YouTube edits
  • Proficient in one or many video editing platforms and eager to continue to learn and evolve in other efficient and effective ways to make social-first content: Adobe Creative Suite, mobile creator apps, and in-app editing (Instagram Story creation, TikTok editing, etc.)
  • Responsible, accountable, and deeply passionate about their own personal interests and hobbies, and of course, kind, compassionate, and empathetic because you love the magic of collaboration
  • Proficient in English
